29.4. – 1.5. 2016, BRNO
Only shortly after my return from Ósaka I was packing up again – for otaku convention this time, for our annual paradise of anime - AnimeFest 2016.

It was a great weeked, though quite difficult in a way. It was my (and my sis´) sixth time attending it, my boyfriend for the second time. I cannot imagine not going there each year anymore. It´s the biggest (and the oldest) anime-manga-Japan related con in our country; this year with 3 900 visitors! It really grows each year, attracting more visitors, having more beautiful and worked-out cosplays. Not to mention that the organizers did an awesome job as always, from expanding the space for the convention to promotional video. I´m really proud of Czech otaku community. ^^

Originally, we planned to visit many lectures and see a lot of screenings (and we managed at least some of them, including Ghost in the Shell movie), but it ended up with us being busy with a little different stuff... We cosplayed Shingeki no Kyojin (http://myanimelist.net/anime/16498/Shingeki_no_Kyojin) characters – Hange Zoe (me), Levi (my sis) and Erwin Smith (my boyfriend) and somehow we didn´t expect to raise so much attention.
There were many other cosplayers from the same anime, but we ended up quite popular anyway. XD We were photographed so many times that I felt like some j-pop idol, all of us even encountered our own ´fans´ (of the Shingeki characters I mean) and in the end it was really tiring. But DEFINITELY WORTH OF those efforts to dress up in the hookshot harness for 3DMG; it felt really great to be appreciated like that. It was our best (and most successful) cosplay so far. ^^´

I´m sorry I will not be more specific or detailed in the description of this event *please, fill in my usual excuse*, nothing can replace going there and trying the atmosphere for oneself, anyway.

A/N: Some photos to be followed only in Friends-locked post.

18.4. – 23.4. 2016, ÓSAKA

I´ve been there with my sis for 5 nights...
- flying with Emirates Airlines (one of the best we´ve used for traveling so far, at least according to my opinion)
- visiting Hozanji Temple, Namba, Daisenryo Kofun tomb, Kyocera Dome ^_^, Aquarium Kaiyukan, Shintennoji Temple, Osaka Castle and Floating Garden
- shopping in Book-Off shops (yes, again), in Shinsaibashi and in Tower Records of course!
- eating takoyaki, gyoza, ramen, soba noodles and tempura and more.... I just loved breakfasts (rice and salmon!!)

The weather was mostly sunny and even too warm for my taste, it was raining for just one day and then in the evening of our departure.
I also tried used my poor Nihongo (Japanese) a few times, suprisingly with success and bought a lot of sweets and omiyage (souvenirs) for friends and family.
And a top of this "trip" – KAT-TUN の ´10ks!´ live in Kyocera Dome = unforgettable experience.

Looking at what I wrote, I think we managed quite a lot within such short time. And I already miss Japan... Again.

PS: We managed to catch quite a few Johnny´s idols on TV, but Kame just once in Raizin CM! O_o

A few photos I took if you´re interested... )

Taka  Toru  Ryota  Tomoya

I cannot thank those guys enough. They made me smile and they gave me so much of positive energy...
With my dear sis, I was at ONE OK ROCK concert in Cologne, Germany (Köln, Deutschland) on Saturday and I still have that satisfied happy smile on my face.

You might know this Japanese rock band thanks to the ending movie songs for Rurouni Kenshin (The Beginning, Mighty Long Fall, Heartache) or Space Pirate Captain Harlock (Be the Light). Or maybe not, but they managed to make quite a name for themselves already and it´s hard not to notice them once you´re interested in Japan. XD

They overcame all my expectations. They were simply awesome and we enjoyed their live as nothing else for quite a long time.
Taka is an incredibly good singer; he made my jaw to drop for a few times, which really doesn´t happen to me often, and their energetic and cheerful behaviour was flooding all fans under the stage. The whole performance absolutely adorable, and definitely worth of the flight to Germany. I bet it will linger in my thoughts for quite a long time.

They managed to drag me out from the awfully gloomy mood, for which I´m endlessly grateful... I literally needed to experience something like this.
And I can´t wait to see them again sometime. ^^/

3700 otaku at one place in Czech Republic, that is quite impressive, isn´t it? ^_^ I wonder if there is even a limit for that gradually increasing number of visitors. It was already our - me and my dear sis - fifth time (everything just goes faster and faster...) and as always, it was an awesome relaxing weekend. I´m ashamed I didn´t find time to write something about it till now - it was already a month ago! But we all know, what the reality can be like, right?

This time we went there a little in advance and picked up our bracelets along with the program, so we didn´t have to wait in that two-hour-long queue as last year. It was a very nice change of our usual start. :D With so many anime-and-manga-greedy fans you needed to be at least a little lucky to get inside the auditoriums, but I think we are kind of used to it already... Fortunately the live streaming was working just great this time, so we managed to attend parts of the program, which would have been impossible to see otherwise.

This year´s topic was school and it was quite a fun. :D Just check out the promo music video of the organizators...

I´m not sure if I remember everything what we attended this year... We saw the Opening Ceremony of the whole con thanks to the streaming, than AMV Competition (a lot of Shingeki no Kyojin stuff...), Cosplay Music Video Competition (surprisingly well-done videos...), followed by The story of Princess Kaguya movie. It was nicely animated, but with the too damn long scenes... I was getting worried I might fall asleep. -_- Than we somehow managed to push ourselves at Censorship in anime and since then I cannot get the picture of Sanji from One Piece with the lollipop instead of a cigarette out of my mind ... Censors are creepy idiots. :/

The next day we had a lot of fun watching the Ouran High School Host Club and then Cosplay Contest - the participants were simply awesome this year, this is the winner:
The Cliche of sporty animes was the best lecture of the whole con, Actually in J-rock missed Gackt, but included ONE OK ROCK :D and the Sunday´s lecture about the Archetypes in the homoerotic literature was a little dissapointing, but in the overall I was satisfied with our schedule.

I was surprised (or not so much, actually...) that among the goods offered in the stands (which were overwhelmed by Tokyo Ghoul stuff) this year were also some CD´s, posters etc. of Korean and Japanese groups... (during the previous years I managed to spot just some old Gackt´s CD´s). Seems the merchants had finally realized that being interested in Japanese anime doesn´t mean that otaku are not interested in anything else... We even found some old KAT-TUN CD´s includiing Real Face there! Who would ever think something like this will be available in Brno at the moment when I was dragging a damn heavy suitcase full of KAT-TUN´s music from Tokyo... ^^

Naturally, we didn´t want that weekend to end, but there is always another year, for which I hope I willl finally create a new cosplay.... m^_^m

Our first waking up with pagoda behind the window came after cruelly short sleep, but as soon as I had realized where I actually was, I got excited and forgot about a tempting option to remain in bed for hours right away.

As we wanted to make at least one trip into the nature outside Tokyo, we were following the weather forecast very closely. (And I have to say they are much more precise in their predictions than our meteorologists. :/) As there was one of seasonal typhoons approaching, we decided to use the sunny day at once. And even though it took us ages to get on the train to Odawara, it worked out well in the end...

Trip in Hakone )

It was a calm and relaxing day (not counting the mess at Shinjuku station), that charged me with energy which I definitely used during the next days. ^^

To be continued~

Konbanwa minna-san! ^^/

After spending a great weekend at our cottage in the mountains and drinking a little preliminary for my birthday´s sake I´ve finally got an access to the Internet, so there´s time to catch up with a few things...

Last weekend I went to Prague, to meet with my friends, to do some shopping, to see a beautiful zoo and to attend a concert of 30 Seconds to Mars - American rock band, which is one of a few I like to listen a lot. The leader singer Jared Leto was great, he has a talent to make the people to give their all into it and I enjoyed the whole concert fully.

I´d like to share some of my favourite songs from this band.
In case you haven ´t heard about them so far, you can check it out. ^^

Additional info:
It looks well with next RW chapter, dears.
I think that I will post it for you from Korea.

Jaa! ^^/

I love weekends. \^^/

I so needed some proper relaxation after the moving into the new apartment and after all those ISSUES at my work.
And meeting up with my friend and visiting the concert of two-guys-group ADAMS in Prague with my sis definitely fulfilled my expectations for it. Adam and Shota were handsome, likeable, great in singing, simply awesome and I enjoyed their performance a lot. My only complaint - it was too damn short. XD But it´s understandable, when I consider their quite long tour across the Europe.
Follows my favorite songs so far...

Dizzy Love - they sang this one twice ^^

Sweet Dreams - oh my, I worship this song...

Boku no sei - beautiful...

Konbanwa!!

Well, I did fell asleep yesterday... XD
I was really exhausted after finishing that horrible working week, and a few beers worked out better than any sleeping pills. XD
But now... My vacation is here finally! And I´ll make sure to enjoy every single day of it.

Just a short summary of past weeks... )

Two weeks ago I visited my second anime convention this year – it was the first year of NatsuCon in Prague.
It was much smaller event than AnimeFest, which is the biggest gathering of Czech otaku, so it had quite different atmosphere, but I really liked that. It was calm, friendly and pleasant place to turn off from the reality and just relax among people, who are obsessed with the same stuff as myself. XD
