Our first waking up with pagoda behind the window came after cruelly short sleep, but as soon as I had realized where I actually was, I got excited and forgot about a tempting option to remain in bed for hours right away.
As we wanted to make at least one trip into the nature outside Tokyo, we were following the weather forecast very closely. (And I have to say they are much more precise in their predictions than our meteorologists. :/) As there was one of seasonal typhoons approaching, we decided to use the sunny day at once. And even though it took us ages to get on the train to Odawara, it worked out well in the end...
At first we found ourselves kind of LOST at Shinjuku station, but we managed to find the Odakyuu Sightseeing Centre, where one nice Japanese guy caught me totally unprepared with his great English skills, and where we bought our Hakone FreePasses.
Hakone Park was one of the places we definitely wanted to visit again, even though we were already there before. We wanted to try and make a hunt after Fuji-san. Unfortunately, it was hiding in front of us - AGAIN. It was not raining as the last time; the sun was shining and the whole trip was very nice, but as came for that moody mountain, we managed to catch only a glimpse of it between the clouds. Its peak winked at us and then hid itself again.
Tss… Ok, maybe for the third time, you sneaky pile of stones? XD

What surprised me that day was a total lack of people everywhere. Only later we found out that day was a national holiday. But it didn´t explain it to me at all; I thought it would be other way around when Japanese have a day off. XD Not that we mind that awesome peace in the park...
We enjoyed the cruise over the Ashinoko a lot, then we just relaxed at the lake´s shore, of course remembering that somewhere around ´Kusabi´ PV shooting took place. ^_^ And then we took a bus to make a stop in Hakone-Yumoto, which was our ´crime scene´ from the last time too.
Relaxing at the river´s bank, it felt really incredible we returned to the exactly same place again. We had some very late lunch/early dinner in one restaurant and set on the way back to Tokyo, where we returned after dark, tired and determined to try one more time once. XD

It was a calm and relaxing day (not counting the mess at Shinjuku station), that charged me with energy which I definitely used during the next days. ^^
